Value Delivered

Tim oversees the development and delivery of effective solutions that enable clients to meet their complex energy, technological, and other challenges. In addition to identifying future business opportunities, he designs the successful strategies that enable this multi-divisional company to continue providing its diverse client base with a wide array of expert services and high-performance systems. “The most important thing an executive can do is to identify strategies,” Tim notes. “I work to be sure we know where we’re going and we understand our available options as we move forward.  Doing so, we can meet our clients’ requirements and continue the successful growth of our business.”

After establishing the company’s overall strategic direction, Tim and his management team regularly review implementation activities to ensure safe delivery of projects that consistently meet clients’ highest expectations for quality, timeliness, and value. By combining strategy implementation with thoughtful long-range planning, Tim has helped the company build a strong reputation for expert, reliable project completion and for developing long-term relationships based on total customer satisfaction.

Expertise

Tim began his career in 1972, when he joined Wasatch Electric as an accountant. He became controller in 1983, chief financial officer in 1987, and chief executive officer in 1994. Since then, he has helped the company grow to meet clients’ evolving needs. He encourages Wasatch employees to be proactive, innovative, and flexible when addressing clients’ challenges, all the while maintaining a positive, responsive approach to project delivery. As a result, Wasatch Electric has entered new markets, developed new areas of specialization, and become a leader in the Intermountain area.

A certified public accountant, Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Utah. Recently the past chairman, he serves on the board of the Utah Safety Council. In addition, he is past president and member of the board of the Intermountain Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA); past president and member of the advisory board for the Parson Construction Management Technology Program at Weber State University. In 2009, Utah Business Magazine recognized Tim as “CEO of the Year” in his category.
